Second anniversary

After a long working day, dinner is the only thing to look forward to. And yet it's another day to remember.

Post meal dessert was some self-bought mangos. I found out the reason why was he giggling away while cutting mango.

My pseudoholidays

I enjoyed my one week posting in Raja Charles Brooke Memorial Hospital. It is situated on the outskirts of Kuching, approximately half an hour drive from town. Attached with leprosy ward where they used to isolate patient in the olden days. The ward is now left with a few long staying patients including one who has stayed there for more than 70 years.

My day usually start with a morning walk with bird chirps and squirrels leaping from bough to bough. Not forget the fresh moist air breathed, exhaust-free and traffic-free. If only I can work longer term this way, I will probably live longer. No stress, no hassle.

Though it lasted for merely one week, I thank God for the serenity, the rest and refreshing of mind.

Fantasy

Sometimes I have weird kinda fantasies. But as implies, fantasy has to be extravagant and unrestrained. If not it'll otherwise call reality.

The genre of movies I enjoy include the fantasies. Eg: Fantastic 4, superheros such as batman, spiderman, X-men sequels etc. Oh I watched Power Rangers when I was young too. So automatically, I would imagine what type of supernatural power I prefer.

I wish I own voluntary invisibility.

So I can sneak into the bath room and start peeping.
And I will have endless supply of money after stealing unnoticeably.
I can take free flight to travel all over the world!
Muahaha...

Nah, just letting my mind run wild. I am pre-call. First well known hectic and sleepless call in Medical.

Hang in there

He deteriorated too sudden. A diagnosed case of meningoencephalitis who came with 3 days history of fever, chills and brought in with fits. He was still obeying command few hours before he deteriorated to quadruple ionotropes with coagulopathy and renal shut down.

It was just a sense of guiltiness that I indirectly delayed the initiation of antibiotics by 4 hours in a being which each minute counts.

I learned about vigilance.

Hang in there. You are too young to die. Your child needs you.

Lord, we believe not in our own hands but Yours. Let Your hand be upon this soul and be healed. Amen.

Sisters

I have a pair of sisters and brothers. We used to fight a lot. As human nature depicts, ones never treasure what we have as much till we finally loss it. So as our relationship, it grows fonder with distance.

Every year, Wei is taking effort to get our sisters' Chinese New Year attire. A sum up of what we've gotten:

Maybe the same habit will not repeat for next year as Leng is away in Birmingham. I'll still be in Sarawak while Wei remains in KL. Hopefully we can gather mum from US as well the following year for a mother and daughters costume!

We are like satellites, scatter all around the universe. Though far by distance, not by heart.
