Busy yet fun!

The week was unexpectedly busy. Routine schedule put a quick full stop to my post-holiday hypersomnia. I stretched myself through the whole 5 days and managed to get up a little late today after the sun rose. What a privilege! And to be able to dress in pyjamas for the whole day was, fabulous!

The second week of orthopaedics had been occupied with seminars, presentations, revision, concurrently with dance practices and research project. The amount of workload adjusted me back from the day dreaming mode. And here I've picked up something from the wonderful creature of God, bone:

A fractured bone is firstly healed by callus formation. It is a process where bone cells start to proliferate and blood vessels start to form. Callus grows stronger when it is subjected to increased mechanical stress. Therefore internal fixation (metal plate etc.) of bone tends to cause *osteopaenic bone as stress is diverted and callus formation is distrupted. It amazes me where how our bones react better than we do in time of stress. Stress can be a parameter that make us grow, I'm learning from it. ^-^

Putting aside the busy schedule, there were a few birthday bashes night out for the October babies Khung Ying, Joanne and Chee Koon. Not to forget my primary school mates Shan Yi, Pui Si and cousin, Kah Tak. God bless and many happy returns to you! Some friends of mine are not as nerdy as i thought they were after the night out with them. IMUians, study hard, and play real hard!
