20th Oct. This day jots a significant history. It was a turning point where I was borned again 7 years ago. I was baptized in All Saints Church, KL and came to know the Lord and His words better there after. Experiencing God's grace and faithfulness, life is never the same again.

20th Oct. this year is going to be my second turning point. It will be the first day of induction, the first day of getting pay as a government servant. Another brand new chapter of my life begins here.

Counting down the remaining few days, I have a mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness. Excited, for I finally able to earn and give instead of stretching hand to take. Nervous, for I do not know where my destination will be. The possibilities of separation from my loved ones, fighting with stress as a lone ranger and the need to build up new support system again. Also, the fear of not knowing enough for what I should as well as meeting unbearable superiors and colleagues.

Though I have somehow mentally prepared for packing and leaving instantly, I do hope to stay. Sigh, wish the Malaysia's management system can be more efficient by just letting us know our placement and settle down earlier...

"Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

All that You command me I will do, and wherever You send me I will go. Whatever destination it may be, may it be the training ground You have for me.

Missing New York, missing the kid, missing you guys :(

Arriving New York City

We chose Air China which offered the cheapest out of all (RM3871 round journey) with 7 hours and 22 hours transit in Beijing back and forth respectively. The crashing history aside, Air China rated high from myself as not only there was no major delay but the plane departed 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled time for once.

We were flying with airbus to and fro Beijing-KLIA while a 747 airplane for the longer journey to and fro Beijing-New York. Service and food were generally good with the food loaded from KLIA cater as exception.

We flew across arctic and managed to snap some pictures.

Hello from home

Yes I am home. Flew back from New York City, the land of efficiency nearly a week ago with my primary mission completed. I met my mum whom I have been 10 years apart! And she is missed so badly, again.

I miss sleeping by her side, chatting with her till we fell asleep. Wake up smelling my breakfast ready. Miss her nag to put on sunblock or hand cream. Her touch asking if I am tired. I miss walking with her shoulder by shoulder. Her accompany to eat and shop, and how she put on clothes for me in public. Miss the time when I was treated like a kid, where I didn't need to carry heavy stuff but to eat ice-cream. Her hug and laughter that were so sincere. I miss receiving calls asking me where I am, and telling me what she bought and what's for the next day's breakfast. I miss her for checking weather and telling me if I should bring jacket or umbrella. I miss the feeling of having everything got prepared before me. I miss her...

Although it was only for the short 2+ weeks, I am grateful. I am truly blessed to have such great and wonderful mother.

Some other factors of why this trip was made enjoyable:
I was pampered.
Time spent with mum and aunt.
Experienced how my mum's life is like.
Ate all the fruits I want.
Fresh and big and cheap foodstuff.
Cooked and baked.
Met new friends.
Visited places of wonders.
Snapped tonnes of pictures.
And of course, exploring loads of fun with my traveling mate, Ernest!

Graduation day

For more than five years ago, I decided to choose a rough path. And the tough times I had there after were more than what I could imagine. Looking back, I didn't know how I had been through this but amazed at what God had done in my life. Thank God my 5+ years of hard work is finally rewarded! I can proudly declare now that:

I have graduated!

I am grateful for God's faithfulness that when He said His grace is sufficient, He meant it. To all my friends who gave me comfort and countless encouragements over the past few years, thanks a thousand. Words can't describe how much had you painted my life. Without you university life is nothing! You guys are just great!

I am overjoyed, not solely for the MBBS certificate but being able to proclaim:

"Mummy, I finally made it!"

Through toils and turmoils, perseverance is learned.
Along with ups and downs, friendships are earned.
Standing by me, my heart-felt appreciation.
C1/07, I'm missing your presence!

Graduation trip to Perhentian Island

In case you wondered why did I look dark during convocation, or why did I have multiple abrasions all over the body, here is the answer:

I went to the beach and I snorkeled!

And I am loving my tanned complexion!

It has been a while since I last blogged about vacation. This is a good time, probably the last time to travel before the hectic works start.

So here we spent the wonderful 3 days 2 nights in Perhentian Island lodged in Cocohut Chalet. Although the quality of chalet was slightly below par, it was still a good deal as we snorkeled in three islands in 2 days namely Perhentian, Redang and Lang Tengah. The different snorkeling spots provided different underwater species.

Compared to my last visit 3 years back, it deteriorates so those who want to pay a visit, do before it is severely contaminated. Anyway it's the companion that made the trip joyous. I am glad to have a great one!
